What is Abiding in Agape Ministries?


The ministry’s purpose is for every person:

  • to enjoy and love God

  • enjoy and love themselves

  • enjoy and love other people

  • Because if you can’t enjoy God, you loathe yourself and people irritate you, what good is your theology or works?

It’s not a plan or a program, but an awakening; a discovery of what is already true of you.

When someone discovers gold on their property, the truth of the hidden gold did not become true when they discovered it – the gold was already there, waiting to be discovered.

This is the message of Abiding in Agape Ministries and the gospel of love in Christ Jesus. The love (agape) of the Trinity (Father, Son and Spirit) opens the door to everything!

  • When you see yourself the way God the Father does in Christ Jesus, you’ll begin to believe what he believes about you, and His true nature and character as a father.

  • This love frees you to be yourself, to know who you truly are and to live in this “dance of agape” that the Father, Son and Spirit have always enjoyed.

Why is this important to me?

Jesus said in John 15:9 “As the Father has loved (agape, love that leads into rest) me, so have I loved (agape) you, abide in my love (agape).

  • You’re included in this dance of agape (love) forever, not excluded.

  • You’re accepted unconditionally, complete, lacking nothing in Christ Jesus.

  • Because this is true, you’re free not only to be loved extravagantly, but to love the true person God made you uniquely to be – which allows God to love others through you!

What does this look like practically?

God has always loved you, and He wouldn’t change a thing.

You may laugh now, but if you join the Trinity on this journey of discovery (which is what this ministry is all about):

  • You’ll begin to enjoy the message of the Gospel that the cross and resurrection of Jesus was a success and you were included.

  • No more being controlled by:

    • fear

    • worry

    • anxiety

    • anger

    • depression

    • addictive behaviors

    • confusion about what makes you, you

    • people pleasing

    • striving and trying to be a better person

    • self loathing

    • constant self introspection

    • feelings of inadequacy and inferiority.

  • And all of that, without adding anything to you! Grace in Christ Jesus is that amazing!
